Year 10
Job shadowing: students complete a 5 or 3 day work experience placement during the summer term. This is supported by a series of career guidance sessions which are delivered through form tutors in PSD. This includes guidance on writing CVs and application letters. Record and reflection is completed using the online tool, Success at School |

Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme Participation is offered in year 10 with the capacity to cater for around 2/3 of the cohort starting with the Bronze Award. The four sections of the award allows students to develop their skills, service to the community, fitness and independence through the expedition |

Careers Fayre: All students have the opportunity to attend the Careers Fayre held on AR day to improve their awareness of local organisations that offer educational, apprenticeships, or other training pathways. |

Soft-skills: Students are encouraged to continue with the activities that work towards the PiXL Edge Apprenticeship award that is evidence of leadership, organisation, resilience, initiative and communication. Those who completed this in Y9 can move on to the Graduate award. |

KS4 Guidance Interviews: Priority for one-to-one career’s interviews is given to students in most need of guidance starting the summer term of year 10. |
