Caitlin making her mark in the world of Textiles

Caitlin Kemp, a Year 12 Textile student at South Bromsgrove, entered the Wool4School Design Competition – an annual competition encouraging budding fashion designers to show England what they’re made of.  It is open to all students in Sixth Form or equivalent throughout England and the competition invites students to design an outfit for their favourite musician to wear on stage, using a minimum 80% Australian Merino wool.

This year there were more than 4500 registrations and Caitlin designed her way into the top 20.  This is a fantastic achievement for her and for the school.  Textile teachers Jenny Hawthorn and Sophie Schwarz were both delighted and extremely proud of Caitlin and her achievement.

Caitlin would like to make a career in the textile design world and this is a great step in achieving that objective.
