South Students Celebrate Excellent A Level and BTEC Results
Students at South Bromsgrove High are today celebrating an excellent set of A Level and Level 3 BTEC results.
The impressive outcomes reflect the dedication, resilience, and ambition of this year’s cohort. Students will now be progressing to a wide range of destinations, including top universities, competitive apprenticeships, and exciting employment opportunities.
The school is particularly proud of Sean Drew, who achieved four A*s in his A levels, and Ross Dyson and Sophie Coleman who both achieved three A*s in their A levels. Sean is going on to study Chemistry at Oxford University, and Ross and Sophie will be studying Mathematics at the University of Warwick and Computer Science at the University of Liverpool respectively. Congratulations also to Olivia Harvey, who secured a place at Oxford University to read English Language and Literature.
We are also very proud of Sophie Tolley and Isabelle Wallace, excelling in their BTEC-led programmes and both achieving D*DD, with Sophie going on to study Nursing at the University of Derby and Isabelle will be studying Education at Newman University.
Headteacher Chris Smith shared his pride in the students’ achievements:
“We are immensely proud of all the work and accomplishments of our students. Their results are a testament to their determination and the unwavering support of our staff and families. We look forward to seeing what they will go on to achieve.”
Director of Sixth Form, Nick Coates, added:
“This cohort has not only excelled academically but has also made the most of the wider opportunities available at South Bromsgrove. From the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and our annual Eisteddfod to VITA, our Sixth Form teaching assistant programme, these students leave us as well-rounded individuals ready to make their mark. I wish them every success in the future.”
