South Students Celebrate Excellent A Level Results
Students at South Bromsgrove High School are today celebrating an excellent set of A Level and Level 3 BTEC results. Due to their hard-earned results, students will be progressing onto a range of universities, apprenticeships and employment opportunities. The school is particularly proud of Ben Bryant and Naomi Curtis who achieved three A*s and are going on to study Architecture at the University of Sheffield and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Leeds respectively, and Finlay Creed who will be studying Land Economy at the University of Cambridge. The school’s proud tradition of preparing students for futures in business continues; a number of students will be starting degrees in this area in September including Jessica Doherty who achieved D*D* in her Business BTEC Diploma.
Headteacher Chris Smith said “We are delighted at the determination that this cohort of students have shown. They have met the challenges of their A Level and BTEC study with hard work and resilience, and have been ably supported by their subject teachers.
Director of Sixth Form, Nick Coates added “I am so proud of everything the students have achieved. Not only have they achieved excellent academic results, but they have embraced the extracurricular opportunities on offer at the school, such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Eisteddfod and our Sixth Form teaching assistant programme, enabling them to leave us with more than just their academic qualifications. I wish them all the best for the future.”
