GCSE Results’ Day

South Bromsgrove High is pleased to report outstanding achievements by its students in their GCSEs this summer with over three quarters of students achieving a grade 4 in both English and maths. Moreover, thirteen percent of the year group achieved grades 8 and 9 in all of their subjects, which is an incredible achievement. We are delighted that nearly two hundred students have chosen to continue their educational journey with South Bromsgrove in our outstanding Sixth Form.

Chris Smith, the school’s headteacher said: “These strong outcomes would not be possible without the support of parents, carers and teaching staff in encouraging and supporting students throughout their studies. We are immensely proud of all the work and achievements of our students and we look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the future. Our students are in a strong position to progress onto further education and we are delighted that we will welcome a number of these students back to our Sixth form in September.”

Mr Law, Head of Year 11 added, “I have watched this group of students develop and thrive both in a classroom setting and through our extra curricular offer. The results that have been achieved are testament to their hard work and commitment and we are all very proud of these outcomes. I am looking forward to seeing a number of our Year 11 students in our sixth form and I wish our leavers every success as they move on to the next stage of their journey. I am confident that the experiences and friendships made throughout their time with us will remain with them for years to come.”
