South Students Celebrate Excellent A Level Results

Students at South Bromsgrove High School are today celebrating an excellent set of A Level and Level 3 BTEC results. As a result of their hard-earned results, students will be progressing onto a range of universities, apprenticeships and employment opportunities. The school is particularly proud that four students (Will Whitman, Ioan Roberts, Jared McLean and Bella Hill) will begin degrees in medicine in September, and that three students (Owen Dyson, Isabella Lawrence and An Lam) have secured places at Oxbridge.

Headteacher Chris Smith said “We are delighted at the determination that this cohort of students have shown. This is a cohort of students who did not sit GCSEs, and yet they have met the challenges of their A Level and BTEC study with hard work and resilience, and have been ably supported by their subject teachers.

Director of Sixth Form, Nick Coates added “I am so proud of everything the students have achieved. Not only have they achieved excellent academic results, but they have led the whole school recovery in terms of extracurricular activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Eisteddfod, the school play, sport, and our Sixth Form teaching assistant programme. Our students leave us with more than just their academic qualifications and I wish them all the best for the future.”
