Beacons of Light

Five Beacons of Light: Four Lighthouses and the Fifth Beacon that is our Young People
calling for a hopeful future. On Saturday evening the Music Department collaborated with
professional musicians and a number of schools across Worcestershire to perform the
world premiere of Cheryl Frances-Hoad's Five Beacons of Light at Worcester Cathedral.
Students have worked hard during the school week to prepare for this performance,
alongside several Saturday rehearsals in Worcester. The project culminated in a fantastic
performance, enjoyed by all present in the Cathedral. A special mention to Lauren who
recited her poem "Freedom" as the newly announced Young Poet Laureate for 2026/27.
