Monday 2 June 2025 The High Sheriff of Worcestershire Award The High Sheriff of Worcestershire Award was presented by the High Sheriff himself, Ian Smith, to our Head of PE Gill Punt in 'recognition of great and valuable services to the community'. Gill continues to raise funds and awareness for Cancer Research UK and to date has raised over £1.97 million for this worthy cause.

Friday 23 May 2025 Yr13 Graduation Evening Earlier in the month saw the annual Year 13 Graduation Event take place. This was a chance to celebrate our students' many successes and wish them all the best for the future. Friday 28 March 2025 Feed The Hungry On Monday, over 80 student and staff volunteers packaged an amazing 5000 meals with the charity Feed The Hungry UK as part of their Million Meals Miracle initiative. The event was organised by the school’s Charity Group with support from the Bromsgrove Rotary Club and Worcester Bosch. The meals will go to students in need across the world so that they can attend school and achieve their potential. The students had to work effectively as a production line, with communication and teamwork being essential. Thank you to everyone who volunteered. #FeedTheHungry #WorcesterBosch #RotaryClub

Friday 14 February 2025 England Athletics Indoor National Championship Last weekend, Year 13 student Jai S competed in the England Athletics Indoor National Championship in Sheffield. He flew through the heats and eventually came first in the final. He is now the 2025 U20 National Indoor Champion. Well done Jai!

Monday 13 January 2025 Polar Night Marathon Update Last Saturday, our Head of PE, Mrs Punt, conquered the Polar Night Marathon and raised a magnificent £20,000 for Cancer Research UK.The Norwegian Arctic run took place in extreme sub zero temperatures (down to -23), in darkness and on ice. However, this polar bear (aka Mrs Punt) still managed to achieve another Guinness World Record.

Thursday 19 December 2024 Support for families in need. Staff and students have kindly collected food donations for local charities - The Basement Project and New Starts. Sophie, Jasmin, Ellie and Euan made the trip over today to personally deliver the items to support families in need.

Thursday 12 December 2024 Michael Holt Debate This week saw the annual Michael Holt Debate take place at Bromsgrove School. Teams from North Bromsgrove, South Bromsgrove and Bromsgrove School, watched attentively by an audience of Rotarians competed fiercely to be crowned victors. The team from South Bromsgrove eventually took the title but all teams gave a convincing and professional performance. #MichaelHoltDebate #RotaryClub

Monday 9 December 2024 Wear it Pink. South Bromsgrove High Teachers and Support Staff came together today to show support for 'Wear it Pink'. This vibrant and positive campaign aims to raise awareness about breast cancer. Staff made and sold cakes to raise vital funds for the charity. #WearItPink

Tuesday 3 December 2024 GKR Karate UK National Championships. On Sunday, Louis and Henry (Year 9) travelled to Sheffield to compete in the GKR Karate UK National Championships. Louis successfully defended his titles, winning double gold and becoming successive UK Champion. Henry was competing in his first National Tournament and did fantastically, finishing 6th in both of his categories.

Wednesday 27 November 2024 Tom's Fund It was wonderful to see Vicki Jones from 'Tom's Fund' visiting the school to see the brand-new football kits which have been generously donated to the school. 'Tom's Fund', in partnership with Worcester Community Foundation raises money for various community projects with a particular emphasis on sports-related opportunities for young people. #TomsFund #CommunityProjects

Wednesday 20 November 2024 Rotary Young Chef Competition The Rotary Young Chef Competition where our students competed against young people from North Bromsgrove High. The students had 2 hours to prepare a two-course, healthy meal costing under £18. We were lucky enough to have Oli Mitchell-Hewitt as a guest judge. Oli is an ex-student of South Bromsgrove and has worked at Purnells, Opheem and is now at Midsummer House in Cambridge. All students showed a high level of skill, resilience and enthusiasm.

Friday 15 November 2024 Eisteddfod Cup 2024 Eisteddfod PE cup 2024 is complete ????Congratulations to all our participants all your hard work has paid off! We’ve had trampolining, basketball and dance over two days and the standard has been of extremely high quality! Well done to all the individual and group winners over the last two days and finally a big congratulations to Talbot who won the PE cup overall ??

Tuesday 23 April 2024 Q&A with Sir Sajid Javid MP On Friday we hosted a visit from the Right Honourable Sir Sajid Javid MP who has been MP for Bromsgrove since 2010. Sir Sajid joined the Year 12 Economics students for a Q&A session. There were some excellent questions from students which covered the 'big picture', local issues and some advice from Sir Sajid on university and career choices.
