If you have any concerns about any issues related to the welfare of young people or staff in the school please do not hesitate to contact Kristy or the Deputy DSLs in confidence.

The Safeguarding Governor for the school is Alyson Jewson. Mrs Jewson can be contacted through the Clerk to Governors, Mrs T Jackson, at school.

A copy of our Safeguarding Students Policy can be found on the school website www.southbromsgrove.worcs.sch.uk and is also available to parents upon request by email to the Principal’s PA at head@southbromsgrove.worcs.sch.uk – all requests will be treated in confidence.

This school believes that it is always unacceptable for a child to experience abuse of any kind. We recognise our responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children.

We will provide staff and volunteers with guidance to follow when they suspect a child may be experiencing abuse or at risk of harm. We will work co-operatively with other agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.  We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with parents/carers first - unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.

South Bromsgrove High is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We will review our policy and procedures on an annual basis.
