Gold Standard for South Bromsgrove High Science Department
The Science department at South Bromsgrove High have been awarded a Gold Science Mark award in recognition of outstanding practice within their Science faculty.
The Science Mark, awarded by the Science Learning Network, is a stamp of quality that sets out to celebrate excellence in secondary science across the UK. In their application, staff at South Bromsgrove High went through a rigorous application process to show they were reflective, evaluative and focused on improving outcomes for young people in their school.
The Gold Mark award is not intended to be something that all or even most school would be capable of achieving in the short term. It is designed to be aspirational and sets a high standard for all schools across the UK.
Di Payne, Head of Science at South Bromsgrove High explained, “We are very pleased to have achieved the Science Mark Gold Award and I’m incredibility proud of the whole science team whose enthusiasm, commitment and continual hard work have made this possible.”
